The unit itself is beautifully tiny and at only 136 grams it s pocketsize and lightweight enough to use for walking especially useful if you want to navigate off the beaten track somewhere like the Peak District. I loved the fact that there is a route planning time feature so you know exactly how long each route will take helping you plan your time better. Brilliant if you don t want to loose any valuable holiday time or you can t afford to be late for that important meeting I noticed that all the audible warnings were timely giving plenty of notice of what is ahead. Even more importantly the speed camera warnings are spot on You can add maps share information with friends and family and also manage your points of interest and favourites from one PC. In practice it works very well and the inclusion of Michelin Guides ensures access to just about all of the travel information you need. Summary With a choice of six routing options including pedestrian and bicycle this really is a highly sophisticated device which feels solid from a software and hardware point of view. Customer Reviews: My new 'wife' October 11, 2008 mrjolly1 3 out of 3 found this review helpful Since buying this product, I realise I've spent money 'acquiring' a second wife. Always critical of my driving, my original wife now has an ally. The moment the VM accuses me of driving at 'excessive speed' is the signal for the original wife to kick in with 'Yes, you're going much too fast' etc etc.However, I've now discovered the way to turn the 'voice command' off (hoorah!) I was also interested to discover that in fact this machine has a mind of its own, and unless I re-set the destination after the last trip, it spends the whole journey trying to take me home. VERY tempting when on the way to work! A pretty good piece of kit which has been useful on more than one occasion. I'm having problems registering ownership online, and getting any kind of recognition on the computer, but as I only spent 50 on it at a boot sale, I guess I can't complain. 'Real' wives are far more expensive - and more difficult to turn off!
