Customer Reviews: Crossover - do not buy. Worth about £30 June 14, 2010 Catman (UK) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Purchased to use as genuinely as a 'crossover' - ie car, walking and sea. All I can say is that I have 4 GPS units and this is the worst by some way. I bought cheap as an impulse (waterproofing was the attractive feature), and paid half of what is being advertised here with maps on SD, so don't waste your money. The key is that Magellan support is non-existent. Search on the web and u will see this - even US side is abysmal. The SD maps are locked so you cannot even back up or put two maps (eg marine and car) on one SD, despite what the handbook says. POI management doesn't work either as the handbook instructs. Software is not intuitive. Non existent supply of peripherals too - all geared to US 2500T - not the same as UK/EU X-over. It's a very poor package basically.
