Customer Reviews: Don't need deep pockets but need a BIG one! May 27, 2010 Razor Gull (UK) This product has an impressive spec for the price but i have to disagree with the manufacturers' description which opens with stating it's "pocket-sized". I bought this for a family member with a need for a small sat nav to use on his bike & on walks. Alarm bells rung when a rather large box arrived & when i saw the unit i immediately new it wasn't going to be suitable. The product looked smart enough & i'm sure it would perform well too but unfortunately; pocket-sized it aint! I ended up returning it with no problem at all from amazons excellent returns service.

After receiving the "Magellan Roadmate 2200T" I tried to find map updates for UK;
Surprise ! there are no updates available. So sent it back and got refunded my money, good service from Amazon re- refund.
I now see it is off the sale list.Good.

Very Good, but be Aware! August 4, 2007 Ian Coleman 55 out of 56 found this review helpful
After receiving this unit, I examined it closely (as you do!), and decided to try the Simulation Mode! That was a big mistake, because having entered Simulation mode, it absolutely refused to go back to normal operation. I only realised this after commencing a journey, when I found it was getting ahead of itself because I was driving more slowly than the simulation!
When I contacted the Magellan website, all they did was to tell me what was already in the manual!
So I contacted Amazon, and would you believe, the replacement arrived next day.
Now I have the rplacement I am very happy with it. It is well built, with a nice loud voice, and an 8-hour battery life. In fact I have no criticisms whatsoever.
Just one point, I have not dared to put it into simulation mode - just in case! But who really needs simulation mode anyway?
