 Garmin edge 705 replacement bracket review July 14, 2010

Had my garmin mounted on my bike for about a year before noticing the original bracket become loose. Nothing could be done to fix as it was actually broken. This was just down to a flawed design really. But with the new bracket there are few parts to it so less chance of things breaking. Also the unit is much sturdier which is always good. I actually think the mount angle is a lot better because i can view the garmin fairly easily while im standing on the pedals. All round im very impressed by it so far, and would recommend it to you - if only garmin got the design right in the first place.

To be clear, there is nothing wrong with this item however i was after the Bike Mount for my Garmin 305 to enable me to attach this to my headstock. However when i received this item i was baffled as to how i would mount the GPS device onto this piece of kit. Then i realised, this picee of kit is for mounting the Cadence monitor that works with the GPS device to the bike.
If you are looking to attach your GPS to the headstock on your bike, this piece of kit is NOT for you. You require the bike mount priced at around £16 which can be purcahsed on this site.

Unfortunately the bike mounts for the Garmin wear out!
