Garmin Nuvi 1310 July 1, 2010 Mr. PWM Mason 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Excellent SatNav, easy to use. Registration of the product with Garmin was very easy and recommended (I received a Map & software update instantly). Didn't bother with the 'Traffic' version as I'm not on the road enough to warrant it, too many darn wires! Very clear voice instructions, stuck with the English 'voice' after playing around with Aussie and Yank voices. Found all addresses inputted so far. In summary its a clear, easy to use SatNav and well worth the money.
GARMIN 1310 June 4, 2010 S 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This garmin satnav has been much better than my other Tom Tom one iq. When you type in a door number it will take you right up to the door unlike the tom tom which just take you the road and say you are there. I don't know why tom tom even ask you to type in a door number? Clear map views and road name spoken out when you turn into a road. The only problem I have had with this it seem to turn itself off while searching for a road. The sat nav has now been replaced and hopefully it will be fine although I have seen alot of reviews on-line with garmin auto shutdown problems maybe one to look out for. Garmin or Tom Tom? GARMIN everytime
Good product, easy to use May 30, 2010 R. Godfrey (Stratford U Avon, UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Good product and easy to use. Only down side was the huge amount of data to bring the Satnav upto date. This is a one off process, so won't be an on going problem.
Recently had to travel from Blackpool to Norwich (4.5 hr jouney) which the Satnav did without any problems or errors. A very useful function is the where it tells you which lane to get into - when you are not familiar will the junctions, it was very useful.
Easy to configure with mobile phone. I found that you do have to have the Satnav quite close to you for the other person to hear (or just shout).
Good product, glad I bought it
New SatNav May 19, 2010 BarryP (Stockport, Cheshire, UK) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I have been using a Garmin 2610 for some years but, after using a Nuvi owned by a colleague, I decided to upgrade to a 1310. Apart from the poor transit packaging, I am very pleased with the 1310. It works well and the GPS receiver is much more sensitive than that for the 2610. I must also praise Garmin for replying to my E-mails about setting up the new unit. In particular they told me how to transfer my 310 waypoints from the old to the new - a real bonus. A good product at a reasonable price.
Very poor May 8, 2010 Mr. Derek S. Lidbury (UK) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
My out of rush hour journey to work typically takes 50 to 65 minutes, using the Nuvi it took 85 minutes with no traffic hold ups or delays. Never mind, I thought it favours main roads. Wrong. In Kent last week we were within 10 minutes of our destination when it took us up a side road, then lanes then round in circles. Went back to using my brain and arrived safely. These were all done using the fastest setting. The shortest setting has worked so far but is not for the nervous.
